Dr. Bill Kolomyjec's first Bitcoin Ordinals collection of historical computer art works from 1970-1980. These are five of artist's personal favorite algorithmic plotter works, each an edition of 4. Read the full announcement, and review all artworks in the collection with their respective provenance, by clicking on this post—you will be directed to an X thread.
A collection of Animated Motion Graphic NFTs by Dr. Bill Kolomyjec and his friends and collaborators. Original algorithms written in JavaScript designed to run in a browser with possible interaction and sound. Designed to run in a browser with possible interaction and sound.
Dr Bill’s Generative Art Vending Machine is a custom application where you can mint Generative Art Tokens of my work. Like a vending machine you select an “algorithmic snack”. Our interface allows you to “generate” your own variation based on your interaction with the algorithm. Save off the variations you like, and ultimately, pick and mint a unique image (NFT) of your own. All algorithmic snacks are original implementations of algorithms by yours truly. Some of these algorithms go way back to the underlying code for my original plotter drawings back in the era, 1973-1981. Some of the algorithms were inspired by other image makers. We were a small group at the time, and we influenced each other. Enjoy your snacks!
I've been involved in many aspects of computer art/computer graphics since the very early days of the medium. This collection presents the original plotter drawings (pen on paper) programmed in FORTRAN, executed on a CDC6500 mainframe computer and an offline Calcomp 936 drum plotter. Done at Michigan State University during my MFA/PhD era, 1974-1981. Each NFT comes with an original print of that era, of which only very few remain.
These artworks include most of the Vasarely series, a renewed collaboration with an old friend, Chris Scussel, and new original work. All published on Tezos blockchain’s generative art platform, FX Hash.
HEN editions are early NFT experiments and explorations published on HicEtNunc by my son, who has since moved on to other things. These comprise a random selection of my algorithmic art, old and new alike. Most are multiple editions, some are derivatives of my generative art pieces altered by my son.
